Dr. Emma Cottle is a Junior House Officer at Logan Hospital, currently working in Paediatrics. She has a Masters in Public Health and has broad medical interests including paediatrics and psychiatry. Emma developed an interest in Clinical Ethics during an elective rotation at the LCCH Paediatric Intensive Care Unit in her final year of medicine at Griffith University and went on to commence a research project under the supervision of Children's Health Queensland's Centre for Children’s Health Ethics and Law (CCHEL). Emma, along with Dr. Melanie Jansen, Dr. Helen Irving (both of CCHEL) and Prof. Ben Mathews (of QUT) surveyed all of the tertiary paediatric hospitals in Australia and New Zealand to investigate the current presence and function of Clinic Ethics Services in these facilities.
